Website development on 1C-Bitrix

We keep this platform as our main one for a single reason: it can talk to the accounting database without homemade crutches. Catalogue, prices, stock and orders travel back and forth by standard means, and that removes most of the headache in the second year of a project.

What the work includes

The list of tasks varies from project to project, but the skeleton is the same: from choosing the edition to handover to your editor.

Discuss the scope

Editing

The difference between editions lies in the number of warehouses, personal pricing and the permitted load. Paying extra for the top one is far from necessary for everyone.

Design planning

Sections, user journeys, what a product page contains, the set of filters.

Design and mark-up

One layout that works equally well on a large monitor and on a phone.

Development

Components, a template, and custom code where the standard capabilities fell short.

A link with the accounting system

Product list, prices, stock, orders, statuses. Each flow is given its own schedule.

Handover

The move to live hosting, instructions, training for whoever will maintain the content.

How it goes

A corporate site takes four to six weeks, a shop with an accounting link eight or more. What eats the time is not the code but getting the data in order.

01

Analysis

We study the tasks and look into the accounting database. Its state determines half the timeline.

02

Prototype and layouts

We approve the structure and the design before any code: changes at that stage are almost free.

03

Build

We build the site and in parallel debug the integration on a test environment.

04

Opening

The live server, content, training, handover to support.

Integrations most often break not at launch but at the first update of the accounting configuration. The finance team installs a new release, the export structure changes, and the site quietly stops receiving prices. So updates to the accounting database are worth agreeing with whoever runs the site rather than installing on a Friday evening.

Questions and answers

Your own employee can handle the content perfectly well: we provide instructions and run training. Technical changes need a developer, but there are plenty of specialists for this platform on the market and you are not tied to us for good.

It is made up of licence renewal, hosting, the domain with a certificate, and support hours. For a standard corporate site that is a modest sum; for a shop with integrations noticeably more because of maintaining the data exchange.

In your company name only. A licence bought by the contractor in their own name stays with them when you part, and the site has to be re-registered or rebuilt. We register the purchase to the client from the outset.

Let us discuss a Bitrix project

Describe what kind of site you need and what you keep your records in. We will name a timeframe and the edition that will suffice without overpaying.
