Area 01 · IT outsourcing and support

IT outsourcing

The company stops depending on one person who «knows how everything works here». Staff requests, servers, the network and purchasing are run by a team, and the deadlines are written into the contract rather than resting on goodwill.

What we do every month

The list of work is an annex to the contract. Here we show what falls into the standard scope for an office of about 50 people.

Check the scope

Workplaces

Preparing a computer for a new hire, installing software, granting access, repairing and replacing failed equipment.

Servers and network

Windows and Linux, the domain structure, virtual machines, switches and wireless.

Backup

Scheduled backups, verification that the job ran, and regular restores of the archive to be sure it is usable.

One way in for requests

A call, an email or the portal all lead to one place. The request gets a number, a priority and a deadline by which it will be closed.

Preventive work to a schedule

Updates, preventive maintenance and engineer visits to a schedule known in advance.

A report once a month

A monthly summary: how many requests were closed, what is happening with the infrastructure and what we will tackle next.

How the work begins

From the first call to full support usually takes between three and ten working days.

01

We look at what is there

We count the hardware, servers, links and licences. What needs fixing without delay is written out separately.

02

We price it and sign

We assess the scope and agree the timescales and the amount. All of it goes into the contract word for word.

03

We take over the infrastructure

We take over the passwords, draw the diagram, set up monitoring and open the line for your staff.

04

We run it and improve it

We handle the requests, carry out the scheduled work and once a quarter bring a list of what is worth improving.

What it will cost

The amount depends on headcount, the duty hours and whether you have servers. Below are guide figures for typical offices.

Questions and answers

Usually they go nowhere; they simply stop dealing with the trivia. The accounting systems, internal services and projects stay with them, while tickets, updates and purchasing move to us. That arrangement works out cheaper than hiring a second specialist.

The time is set in the contract: 15 minutes for a critical incident on Premium and up to four hours on the entry package. If we miss it, we pay the penalty, not you.

We work remotely across the country and engineers travel where we have people. If the locations are scattered we build a scheme: our line on top plus a vetted contractor on site whom we manage.

We hand over the diagrams, documentation, passwords and access, and brief whoever comes after us. The handover procedure is described in the contract and we do not charge for it.

Yes. We specify the configurations and buy from distributors at partner prices. Hardware and licences are invoiced separately and are not part of the monthly fee.
