The same workplace everywhere
The same model, one pre-built system image, the same list of applications. Loan stock and spare parts stop being a headache.
The kit is assembled once and then simply repeated at every new address.

A small set: a switch, an access point, a power supply. The layout is the same everywhere, so an engineer can work with it without travelling to site.
A private connection to the accounting system and internal services, plus a backup link in case the provider goes down.
Someone in a new city gets permissions by the same rules as at head office, with nothing to configure by hand locally.
We close most requests remotely, and when hands are needed we bring in a vetted person locally who works under our direction.
A diagram, the cabling documentation, a list of hardware and access rights. With that set you could open the next location almost without us.
The first location takes longer because that is where the template is created. After that the timescale nearly halves.
We establish the requirements: how many desks, whether there is a till, a stockroom, a meeting room. It all goes into one list.
The request to the provider, running the network and power, installing the cabinet. This runs alongside the fit-out.
The hardware arrives already imaged; all that is left is to place it, plug it in and bring up the link to head office.
We walk every workplace, hand over the documents and add the address to the main support contract.
A mixed hardware fleet costs more than it looks at the point of purchase. Five addresses with five different computers and routers give you five sets of instructions, five spare parts kits and an engineer who starts by working things out every time. A common template starts paying for itself by the third location.
We work remotely across the whole country and close most requests that way. We come out for the launch ourselves, and for day-to-day visits we keep a vetted person in the city who follows our instructions under our supervision. Requests still go through a single desk.
Usually not: the work runs over the link to head office or on rented capacity. Local hardware is needed where connectivity is shaky and stopping is unacceptable, such as a warehouse or a shop with tills.
The kit always includes a backup link, usually mobile, with automatic failover. For a shop it is essential: a register without connectivity stops trading. The subscription for the backup costs less than an hour of lost sales.
The locations go into the same contract and the fee is based on the number of computers, just as at head office. There is no surcharge for being a branch, but the backup link and travel to the region do enter the calculation.

Request received
It is already with a manager. You will get an answer within the working day, and urgent requests go to the duty engineer immediately.
There is no such city in the list. Check the spelling.
