Wireless coverage across the bays

Measurements that account for metal and interference, access points in protective enclosures, seamless roaming between them for terminals and tablets.

Servers and accounting

Hardware for the accounting and production systems, virtual machines, duplicated nodes, a server room with cooling and power.

Shop-floor workplaces

Computers protected against dust and moisture, handhelds for data capture, industrial displays and label printing.

Power and spares

UPS units for the server room and network nodes, clean shutdown when the power fails, a stock of critical spares.

Shift-based duty

The line is open at night and at weekends. A request from the third shift is handled to the same deadline as a morning one.

How we start

At a plant you cannot simply walk in and throw the switch. The work is fitted around planned shutdowns and maintenance windows.

We walk the site

We walk the bays, the cable routes and the server room, and measure the conditions: temperature, dust, vibration, sources of interference, signal paths between buildings.

The diagram and the calendar

We draw the network diagram and a work calendar tied to planned shutdowns, so nobody touches the line during a shift.

Phased installation

Building by building, with the rest continuing to work. Every line is tested with an instrument and labelled.

Monitoring the nodes, scheduled work in maintenance windows and duty hours matched to your shift pattern.

Segmenting the network at a plant is also a security measure. Machines with their controllers must not sit in the same segment as the accounting computers and email. Ransomware arriving by email in the office has to hit a boundary and never reach the production line.

Questions and answers

Metal reflects and absorbs the signal, while frequency converters and welding stations add interference. An office access point hung roughly in the middle of a bay covers several times less than its datasheet claims. You need measurements on site and placement based on them, not on the building drawing.

Our territory is the network, servers, workplaces, accounting systems and security. Commissioning the machines and industrial controllers is done by their suppliers, while we provide connectivity, segmentation and integration with the accounting system. We write the boundary of responsibility into the contract so there is nothing to argue about later.

Almost all of it, yes, if planned ahead: we lay the new routes alongside the working ones and switch over segment by segment. A full stop is rarely needed and usually lasts a couple of hours when the core node is replaced. Such windows are agreed with the plant weeks in advance.

For plants on shift patterns we offer the package with round-the-clock duty and a response from fifteen minutes for critical issues. The standard does not change with the time of day, and that is what the package pays for.
