Video surveillance

We count not the number of cameras but what you want to see on the footage. Between «you can tell someone came in» and «you can read the number plate» lies a chasm: different optics, different mounting points and entirely different money.

What the work includes

The first question is always the same: what has to be in the frame - a face, a number plate, the mere fact someone was there, or the general picture.

Discuss the scope

Design from the floor plan

We plot the positions on the drawing, calculate the coverage and mark the blind spots straight away.

Choosing the cameras

Sensor and lens chosen for the task, weatherproofing for outdoors, performance in darkness.

Installation

We run the cable, mount the cameras and set the angle and focus on site.

Recording

A recorder with disks sized for the retention period you need.

Viewing

Access from a phone or a computer, each with their own rights.

Paperwork

Signs in the filmed area and a written procedure for handling the archive.

How it goes

A site with ten to fifteen cameras is installed in two or three days once the equipment arrives.

01

Survey

We visit, study the layout and mark the important areas and mounting points.

02

Design

The layout on the plan, the equipment list, the storage capacity.

03

The works

Cabling, mounting, connection and configuring the recorder.

04

Handover

We walk every camera, show how to work with the archive and hand over the diagram.

By filming staff and visitors you are processing personal data. That means signs in the filmed area, a written retention procedure and a limited circle of people who may view the archive. Without that paperwork the cameras record fine, but in a dispute the footage turns from evidence into a breach.

Questions and answers

Two to four weeks is almost always enough: in that time an incident is noticed and the footage requested. Beyond that only the disk bill grows. The exact volume depends on the number of cameras, their resolution and whether you record continuously or on motion.

Motion detection saves several times the storage but sometimes misses slow movement or a partly obscured frame. A sensible compromise: record continuously at reduced quality and switch to maximum when something happens. The till and the entrance are better recorded without pauses.

Through a private connection and no other way. A recorder exposed directly to the internet is broken into within days: the factory passwords have long been in public lists. We set up secure access with different rights for different people.

We will price the surveillance

Describe the site and tell us what you need to see on the footage. We will visit, survey it and prepare a costing with the quote.
